New Workboats - Fabrication
Our skilled team love to build working boats in a variety of materials, and for different types of marine work.
In 2008 and 2009 we have built two alloy vessels destined for the same mussel farming area in the Coromandel. The Northern Quest at 29m (2008) and the Phoenix at 22m (2009) were both designed in Nelson by McBride Design, and built here in our Nelson workshop.
This 15m alloy fishing boat has a compact galley and accommodation with toilet and shower. She is currently working out of Bluff Harbour.
Although 15m is a decent sized boat, while she was under construction she was dwarfed by the 25m vessel that was also in the shed!
