Surveys

Challenge Marine can carry out all the engineering-related work required for a vessel to pass it's annual in-water and periodic out-of-water surveys, including shaft and vessel surveys, anchor and chain repairs and replacement, rudder stock repairs, rudder repair and hull valves.

We have expertise in compliance with all classification society rules including:

  • Lloyds Register of Shipping (LR)
  • Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
  • Bureauveritas (BV)
  • American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
  • Korean Register of Shipping (KR)
  • Germanischer Lloyd (GL)
  • Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK)

When a vessel is ready for survey, the customer usually arranges for the appropriate marine surveyor to inspect the vessel. We will do all we can to facilitate this.

Likewise we can help make contact with a registered surveyor if required - we have good links with the local survey agents.
